do you have to use the powerbome/megabomb with the fmf silencer?? or would it fit my sparks exhaust???

it will fit to a stock silencer... if your sparks is just a slip on then yes it will. but if it came with a different header then ???

what I experienced is my HMF slip on would not mate up with the powerbomb header on my 05, and neither would the stock silencer. I had to buy the fmf silencer to get it all to work, but it definetely made a difference in power, alot more throttle response.

i cut my power bomb apart to find the origional head pipe kept on going through the expanded part, it did have 2 3/8's hols drilled in it. Too me that seems like the header is used to not make the bike so loud. kinda like how DASA makes a headpipe with a bottle/can welded to it. It takes the fist sound wave from the ex. valves opening and makes them not so harsh on the ears. just my 2 cents.

The concept behind it (or so it was explained to me) is for the extra volume in the can, pipe, tube (seen a few different designs of the same idea) is to create more vacuum to help scavenge more exhaust out of the head so the next intake charge is a cleaner burn. Chime in this is not the case...
