06 and up air filter box on 04 450r honda

i have a 04 450r honda and i want to allow it to breath better with a air filter box of a 06 or newer airbox and filter, , any help is welcome , thanks , jeff

the reason people use thew 06 box on 04-05 is because it bolts up to the fcr carb with no adaptors. it is bigger but if you get a uni or k and n kit it will have adaptor to make it bigger

It won't fit your stock 04 carb.
And the carb on the 06 bikes is on an angle from the head, so when you stick the 06 intake boot on the 04 it fits HORRIBLE.

The fit isn't that bad at all.
