Do I also need to do my valves while I'm at it? It says "bolt on power" but, I know that can be deceiving. What do I need if anything?

your gonna have to get a gasket kit. valves are a good idea if you have enough money.so are hd head studs but you probably wont need them.also get the crf450 timing chain for reliability and you should by good.

Get your valves checked to make sure they are seating properly since you have it apart.

x2 good advice right there like he said if you check that and there fine then i wouldn't worry about the head and you should do valve seals while you have it off which are not that hard to do at all. other then that i would check your side rod gap and as other say get the cr450f timing chain and buy a new timing chain tensioner.
