Yeah a lil monster truckish.... but I was dragin' the underside and tearing up wheels pretty bad out here in the desert pretty bad. So here is the answer...for now I have a race coming up on the 21st and its supposed to be a rough one...I guess I will see if this set up helps get a good placing without killing the quad.

Nice man, those are some huge tires. What gearing are you going to run.

I would love to have that thing. Or build a desert race quad, I would love to get some big tires and make sure its geared high to just haul top speed

Did the larger tires in back really affect your gearing? Maybe a larger rear sprocket would help.

MAN! in the side shot pic, it sure does look CLOSE.

Does it clear the nerf when you sit on it, or when the rear suspension is fully compressed?

Sure looks to me like it's going to hit.
But looks good if it clears.

also, what's the idea or intention, with the chicken wire behind the front bumper?

Hey i like your wheels. where did you get 'em? and how much?

It is CLOSE like with a little over an inch of clearance at all suspension levels. I don't see it being a problem, and am looking for a different set of nerfs anyhow, as I need some heel guards.

I got the Wheels and Tires at a local independent motorcycle dealer in town. I like to support the little guys even if it cost a tiny bit more. Sierra Cycles here is Sierra Vista, AZ. Plus its cool when you can get advice and go riding with the owner ya know.

I paid just over $1000.00 for the tires and wheels out the door.

He's probably trying to keep anything from hitting his oil cooler. That's my guess.

Yep... you are right... there are some pretty killer rocks out here that would be race enders if they hit the cooler.
