my dad promised me to get me a 400, but he dosent think that he'll have the money come spring time..... my question is whats the best quad i can get next to the 400 thats under $5699

you can get a used 2stroke machine fairly cheap.
You can find new 400ex's for cheeper than that. You could look into a job to help pay it off. Why not get a used one?:huh

i like the offer 4punks, but my dad says he dont wanna buy something used, so its gotta be new and under $5699, thanks for your help though
I've seen some really nice used 400ex's out there for sale, hardly used. $3000-4000. Look around and save a bundle

i know that thers GREAT used quads out there for like 2 grand, but my dad says nothing used, it has to be new and on the floor now... he says we dont to be buying someone elses problems, or they mite be selling it because they screwed it up or somethin, so anything on the floor now not used would be great Thanks

theres a place in illinois i think its called chicago cycle center selling 400s for like 4200otd i heard someone ssay about them
and my dealers around here are sellin 400ex's for around 5000 or a lil less like 4900

the next biggest sport quad that my dad found that we likie is the warrior, thats the closest to a 400, and cheaper.. what do u guys think?

SpeedDemin, just a thought here. It is the end of the year and some of your local dealerships might have some leftovers (like 02's, maybe even 01's) and they might be looking to move them quick. I got my EX as a leftover, it was way in the back of the garage and got a dang good deal! Just a thought man.

400ex's are dirt cheap right now. 2003's could be had for 5000 easy. Get a left over.
SpeedDemin, are you not reading the posts? Every post has said you can get new 400ex's for alot less than retail, as low as 4200 otd!!

yea even in the spring you will be able to get 400ex for like 5000 or less ask them to see if they have any left over modles form a year or two ago that they caqn make you a deal on definitly try to find a new 400ex though. i mean for 5699 you could almsot buy a new z400 or a kfx you shou definitly be able to buy a 400 if not you might want to look into a banshee but its prolly not riht for the kind of riding yu do

u could get a scramber 400 their better than a warrior.....if your interested i could hook u up with a good dealership who will work with ya.

yah you can find 400ex's much cheaper than 5600 now, just look around and try to talk with the dealers and try to get them to lower their price.
How much are z 400's? Forgot well anwyas you can buy a used not many hours 4 stroke like a 400ex, or even a souped up 2 stroke.
I really don't understand....
You're looking for a new quad now thats under $5699. Does that mean you have $5699? or just something under that?
The dealer here is pushing 03's out the door and putting $4,800 in the cash drawer.

Its kinda sad if your dad wont buy used because he cant fix it, or is scared too. I dont think you should buy a new one if your scared you have to work on a quad. It will break something sooner or later, if you do anything but use it as a seat in the living room.
But like all these guy's have said, you can find a new 400 for uner your price.

the only dealers around where i live are andretti's and palmers, and they both have the same price, and usually rite after christmas the 2002s are gone, i know the 300s are gone and theres not to many 400s left.... im not afraid to work ona used quad cause i know more than my dad does by far, and i have friends that said theyd help fix up a new one but i dont have the money my dad does so its his decision whether to buy a used one or new, we only have like $3000 now and we dont think we'l have enough by spring cause were gettin our basement remodled, so thats 8 grand rite there, im lookin for a job so i can make more money and help my dad out and by spring we'l have enough i hope

trade in ur 250ex and get 2600+ the 3000 u already have saved= 5600, which then = new 400ex. and my algebra teachers always said id never be able to do it :cool:
so now in equation form.....ok nm i give up lol

haha, but when i said we have $3000, i meant thats what we'l get when we trade in the 250, so we have nothing now haha, so we have to save 3000 more come spring time

Depending on how old you are, I'd find a job so you can make up some of the money. And if it turns out your family will have the money, you can always use the money you earned to mod it.

your aking one very valuble mistake- NEVER TRADE IN A FOURWHEELER
put it in all of the classified adds you can find. the difference between selling a trading isnt even funny

a LOT more, my dealer offered me about 2700 for my warrrior on trade in, i dunno what he was smoking but im about to sel it for close to 4000

I bought my 02 400ex for 5400 out the door. Since I new the owner I got hooked up... I have friends who paid 6400 out the door after taxes etc. Keep looking and find a connection. It's like my pops always told me... It's not what you know but who you know......
You take care of your connections they'll take care of you...

My 02 was a hair over $5500 otd in june 2001, so you should be able to steal that mofo now.
