this is kind of a extended hub vs. extended axle question i guess..

how strong are stock axles compared to aftermarket? i need to get the rear wider and see the g force hubs for $90 and have a good axle, and as you know, aftermarket axles are pricey. if i were to bend my stock axle, i can likely find a good stock axle used ro cheap and swap the hubs to it.

any thoughts to shoot down my justification?

not a bad idea i run the g force hubs on an extended axle a rpm+4 axle and i have the 3.5 inch spacer hubs it works fine no bends and i have got 6-7 feet of air and flat landed many times

i ran the g-force hubs on a z400 forever and had no problems, even raced mx with them on, but i wouldn't trust them more than an axle.

i have a g-force axel and i love it, never had any problems, even had a few bad wrecks and still straight as an arrow. the best thing about it is having a couple differnt sizes to play with and it was only $199.99 and alot lighter then the stock axel.

If you put extended hubs on a stock axle and jump it, you will bend the axle at some point. Depending on how high you jump it may only take one time. Aftermarket axles are much stronger than stock.
