well since im on my 40GB ps3 most of the day im kinda getting into it a little more and my first mod is to put a extremely much larger hardrive in it prolly a 320 or 500GB one and my next question is can i just swap out the chips and make it backwards compatible? sorry if what im saying sounds dumb cause i really dont know much about this stuff. and i have been hearing somthing about linux? what is that? if you can explain it in noob terms it would be much appreciated:)

sell it and find a used 60gb, it was the best one made yet, backwards capability is flawless on it, not like on any of the other models. I have one and ill never use the 60gb memory
