thought itd be interesting to ask this...mine is right around 140mph in my dads(he was with me) 05 powerstroke crew-cab,and then ive been with in a subaru wrx 120mph+ and i believe thats about it...i realy wonder what 200mph+ would feel like for the first time in a car of course

Fastest I've driven was like 85MPH in my 1994 Chevy Silverado, I like my life and truck, so i slowed down a bit. The olnly time i actually go 80 constantly is if I'm on route 80 with the flow of traffic, which i really am never on, and it drinks gas going any faster than 70MPH.

Although i bet i would easily reach 120 since it was pulling pretty hard. and plus I was in Overdrive.

Yeah permits limit you because if you get a ticket with a permit they can make you wait longer to get your license. I remember when I got my permit I took my moms car up to 96MPH to pass a slow poke only going 65-70MPH. I didnt need to go that fast but I was passing on a 2 lane road so I had to go into oncoming traffic. Once it hit 85MPH I had to just keep going just to see how fast I could go before my mom started yelling at me. She didnt though she always said "watch yourself you dont want to get a ticket". Every now and then if she wants me to drive her somewhere and take her car I get excited and tend to drive way too fast. If you drove a car with a CVT you would understand. It just keeps pulling and pulling and pulling at max HP so its pretty quick. A CVT is more fun than tiptronic and manual if only they could add in a clutch to dump

Back when i lost my licence my friend was driving it and we were racing a kid when we saw the HiPo I looked at the speedo and it was 130. I told my friend to slam on the brakes and he only got a drag racing ticket, i think thats better than 130 in a 65.

A couple of my friends have older muscle cars that are pretty built, we pegged them easily so i dont know how fast we were going.

Jeeps with the 4.0's are slow, but the ones with the V8's are quick FOR AN SUV. Everyone seems to not see that part. I already said plenty of times COMPARED TO A SPORTSCAR IS SLOW but for an SUV it's quick.

nice cobalt oh and quads14589 we have a bullydog chip in it that gives an extra 140hp and moves the speedlimiter to 140mph or it takes it completly off(cant member) and air intake and now a strait pipe...that things hauls real good off the line 6ish seconds 0-60 and it just keeps on going im serious it hits 5th gear(or overdrive idk last time it shifts atleast)around 90 or so and it pulls just as hard if not harder allll the way through till you let up,i had it panned about 5-8 seconds after it hit 100 and then i let off completly and it took prolly close to 10seconds bfore the speedo went down from 100 so 140 is estimated but im positive it was right around there... oh another one for me,lol,i used to have this 91 camaro rs with the 5.0 and a 700r tranny that only 1st and 2nd worked and it was a project i never got around to or never had money too but i went 95mph+ in that thing in second gear more than once,the motor wasnt %100 either but it was turning 10,000rpms+ ...also been a pasenger in a srt-4 neon going about 120 them cars move for wat they are

The 4.7s in the jeep are not that slow(not saying they are super fast either). I remember doing 105 while pulling a trailer in my dads 04 grand cherokee we were messing with a mini cooper. I think it limit is 115 on the 4.7s. I know for a fact you can hit 100 not problems at all and be there in a hurry. Fastest ive gone was 144 in a 07 jeep grand cherokee SRT HEMI

Sees 100mph 3 times on the way to work, when the roads arnt bad and slow people dont get in my way everyday I work, and pretty much every time I leave the drive way.

110mph 2003 Dodge Dakota V6 5 speed.

105mph 1978 Dodge 1 ton roll back 4x4. 1969 440 4bbl 12:1 copreesion 4:88 rear end gears. Lock it in 4wd and she will fry all 6 tires (duals and both fronts) through 3rd gear. Wieghs 8973 pounds.

140mph plus 1982 Honda Shadow 500.

haha i would clean it again but i already spent 3 hours on that today after i got back from running around with the recruiter (god road grime in connecticut is absolutely god **** ridiculous in the winter) so shes shining like a diamond and smellin like roses, any other ideas?

I START crap? You can all screw yourselves. Honestly, unless I must be a complete idiot and don't realize it, but every thread I go in I participate in, when someone ELSE comes in and starts CRAP with ME. Why was Foxhonda banned and not me in that thread? Why was Hondarider banned and not me in our fights? People start with me. And honestly, this whole site has gone downhill. The lack of knowledge lately is absurd and even back in July 07 when I first signed up the site was much more helpful back then and people didn't over-react, or start fights. People didn't automatically and purposely attack people as much. These days all of you flick on a switch. I was WAYYY more of a tool under the Hondamaster name and people still never started crap. for me it was 100 on a Florida highway on my 06 450exc(that was something else completely, take it in mind, it had knobby tires on it too!!!), I've had my atc250r tapped out in 6th 14/36 gearing 20' tires. And the fastest in a car was 120 in a pontiac grand pri 4.0 v6 engine. On the ford ranger I had, I've went 95 mph. I don't care what anybody says, going faster than 80 on the dirt, you better chance you draws, asap. I had my 450exc going 80 on dirt and it was scary!!!!!, more so than the atc250r wfo 6th.

wow threads like these are reminders as to why i post about once a month now. this place is going to crap fast....

passanger ive gone 140 in a friends RS6 and it had plenty more yet. fastest ive driven is in a friends a4 130mph. my mustang always cut out a 116 and that was at 3400 RPMs, i had always wanted to get a chip to take the llimiter off and see how fast it really goes. now with the new gears i put in the rear it still cuts out when the speedo reads 116 but the GPS says im going about 105. i really need a chip to get that limiter off asap
