Anyone listen to their ipod while they ride? I was thinking about this while racing. I don't see why it wouldn't work. If it was a shuffle or an mp3 player, it would be small enough that it wouldn't get smashed in a wreck possibly?

I have considered wearing mine while I ride but I haven't tried it yet because I like to hear when I need to shift. I would be afraid I would get caught up in the music and keep riding not listening to what my bike is telling me. Maybe if I would use one headphone on and one off it might work. If you try it and like it let me know and I will try it next time I pull the ex out.

i do it in the summer. when i go riding for a long time. not on the mx track thought there is to much to watch for. i don't think it would hurt it to ride with it. and if you can't hear your quad through your headphones get a new pipe cause it's not loud enough!!! and if you are truly a good rider you will know when to shift without being able to hear anything.

Yeah, I do it when trail riding. As far as shifting goes, that should be done by the seat of your pants!! When your comin' off the line with 20 quads you cant here your bike anyway.

for a few reasons not to, what if your motor is messed up and you cant hear it and shifting, i go by sound and with that thing in, it might be a little difficult and i would also like to hear if people are around and if a t rex were behind you you wouldn't know it till the last sec:chinese:

If your worried about breaking the I-pod go to proarmor's website they have billet cases for them. I just throw mine in my camel back or a chest pocket.

and I'm just thinking for background noise I would wear it. I wouldn't want it so loud that icouldn't hear anything.

I think it is a really BAD idea if your racing!!
How many times have you been racing and
heard the quad right behind you??
If you are just practicing... Not a bad idea!!
But when your on the track... No Way!!
There are to many things going on around
you and you need to have ALL of your attention
on the race!! It is already a dangerous sport!!

So my opinion is...

Practice....Good Idea
Race.........To Dangerous

yea i think its too distracting. i like the sound of my quad and it helps me ride by listening to the motor

Belay My last- The Downfall

Lamb of God- Sacrament

All Shall Perish- Hate, Malice, Revenge

Chimaira- The Impossibility of Reason

Those are my favorite albums to listen to while riding.

I find it to be a great way to get pumped before you hit that 110+ ft jump

The manager of the track i ride at gets pissed if he sees you with headphones in even during practice.
