Hey,
I am just curious as to what members on here would like to see for future raffle prizes and what they feel is a fair ticket price.....JIM

I feel the $5 is a good price for the tickets. Depends on what your raffling for also. I voted for tires/wheels b/c you never have enough:D cough Hipers cough:macho

I agree that 5.00 is a fair price, doubt too many of us could buy a tire/wheel combo for 5.00; and it would be worth the chance......JIM

i voted for the tires and rims combo because it is always nice to have a spare set of tires and also all honda sport atvs have the same stud size(i.e. 4/110 for the back and 4/144 on the front) and i think that you could sell the tickets for $5.00 and u would sell more and ben could get a set of tires and rims (front and back) for as low as $350 depending on what kind of tire and what kind of rim

What would the money from the rafel be going to? The site? I think 10 bucks for 1 ticket and like 15 for 2 tickets? I think the idea would bring in a pretty good amount of money. I like the Tire/Wheel combo, bars, nerfs and maybe throw in something like hand gards, seat covers/graphic kits, grab bars, bumpers. I think it might be a little to much to go with shocks??? Maybe thats just me though...

lol....no, shocks aren't too expensive an item if your raffle is a success! We have a raffle up here for Iditarod every year where tickets are 100.00 each, but they give away 4 Dodge Ram Quadcab Cummins 4x4's, snow machines, atv's, trips, etc. The sky is the limit on these raffles, participation is key! We could even get to the point of raffling off a quad under the right circumstances......JIM

LMAO....no, I was never in the Iditarod...they are insane in my view....lol They get a new Dodge truck for sure as a prize, and a bunch of other prizes along the race, and at the end. I am not from here originally and we didn't do too much sled dog racing on the streets of Chicago.....:D

up here where i live the Brookfield Elks (like the masons or legion type thing) have th Lotta Truck Draw every year. prizes are usually a car, a truck, a brand new Freightliner custom, ($120,000 lump sum or $75,000 buyout if you don't accept the truck) a harley, and usually a smaller truck. tickets are $100 each and i know the owner of last years truck! it is rite some nice (rite some is a nova scotian thing lol)

See, what I am looking for are reasons why the people that didn't buy tickets for this raffle didn't. I don't think it was really advertised too much and maybe not all the people that would have bought tickets did. Can you guys give me reasons you didn't pay the 5 bucks for tickets?
Also, I am thinking things like roundtrip airfare and stuff like that as prizes. This can be really awesome, we just need people to participate or know why they won't......thanks, JIM

i think what should be done is raffle off a brand new cannondale cannibal. The quadshop could be the dealer and you would just need 140 people on this whole site to put in 50 bucks each and you could come out with a brand new 7000 quad. Or the money for each ticket could come out different. i think a quad raffle would be a big hit and any left over money could go to the site.

You should always have the option to take a cash equivilant. Also, if you keep with the tire/wheel combo, once the winner is crowned, Ben could just buy it then for whatever quad won. That way if a guy with a rapturd one, he wouldn't get screwed.

But the participation thing is the key. I can't believe only 198 tickets were sold. Even if 500 were sold, 1 in 100 is pretty damn good odds. And everyone can afford $5.

I think it would be good if Ben sent everyone a PM or email to advertise a little better. That way if there is someone that does not come online very much, he will still know about the raffle. JMO.

I don't agree with the cash equivalent idea...think about what some parents would say if there kid received a check for a high dollar amount instead of just taking the quad as a prize? As for a Raptor owner getting screwed, not going to happen....leave the details to others...everyone else just needs to buy tickets! JIM

I like the idea of monet towards quad shop, like a $1000. People may want certin things, but if they do want tire/rim combination they have that option.

The reason I didnt buy a raffle ticket is because I dont have the $5 since I dont work. But if I was gonna buy something from there anyway I would have added it in. Next time ill get one!
