I'm giving it a shot this season.

Make sure you get it balanced to your piston if you do it.
Everyone I've talked to said the HR +3 is a grenade if your using it with an aftermarket piston and don't get it balanced/trued/welded. Cost a little more then $200 from Crankworks. (Mine is there right now)

And use OEM crank bearings.

I have been running a +3 hot rods crank in my practice quad for about a year and a half, no problems at all. I did NOT have mine balanced to either piston I have ran it with and it has held up great. Motor has about 75 hours on it per the hour meter. Most of that time it had a Wiseco stock bore 11.5:1 piston in it. I just switched to the Crankworks big bore kit a couple of months ago and still no problems.

Friend has a 511 3mm stroker in his 450r he loves it. Has about 40 hours of intense mx practice on it. Hasn't given him any problems. I do recommend getting the jetting perfect on it though it will make a huge difference. Porting the head out also woke it up tremendusly.

Crankworks just finished balancing my HR +3 to a CP 12:1 shelf piston.
It took 188grams of metal, that's .41 pounds!

That thing would of jumped out of my cases if it wasn't balanced. LOL

Of course it all depends on what piston u use.
