the '03 doesn't have any specific issues that I am aware of. As for power compared to your 400... big difference, even more torgue. :)

Keep the Kfx. Raptor 660's are turds. I've owned one and its the worst handling, lowest ground clearance, top heavy quad I've ever ridden still to this day. They're fast in a straight line. Thats it.

Widen the 660 out a couple of inches and its a totally different quad. They also respond very well to an open air intake, exhaust, and cam. I'd put my old 660 with those mods up against any 400.

+1, I know a 660 or two that would waste a KFX 400 in the woods.

With equal riders they'd be faster on the 400. The 660 is a top heavy turd with low ground clearance. Theres a reason basically no one races them unless its a drag strip.

personally, i love my raptor but to each his or her own. stock the raptors to have a tendency to be a bit tippy, or atleast the 660 does. but it has gobs of power and reverse.
modified (shocks, a arms, axle) the raptor has excellent handling characteristics. it puts a big smile on my face when i go out on an mx track and hang with the 450's and i get the inevitable question, is that a raptor??
the engine has tons of power and even more potential. plus didnt i mention reverse? even my heavily modified motor is very reliable, and on pump gas it made over 60hp on the dyno.
as for the kfx, its an excellent quad as well. i would take a ride on a raptor and see how you like it. ultimately its personal choice as really i believe all of the jap quads in production today are very good, and most in the past are as well.

Yes. You can't remove the fact that is still top heavy and low ground clearance.

I'm not saying they can't be fun....heck its better than no quad at all....., but there are certainly better choices out there when you have the option.

xrjamie, as suggested above, ride a 660... you'll buy one compared to the 400 at least..
