Custom paint job for the plastic

I came accross this on ebay. How do they do that? Can you paint the Maier or Fullbore plastic without it flaking or cracking after a little use?

I've seen a few quads with painted plastic, but it never works if you ride in the woods at all. All of the branches scratch it real bad in a short period or time, no matter how much clear coat or what kind of paint you use. If you do paint it, dont use spraypaint. Get the real plastic paint.

I used a paint for my R/C cars that would not flake off.but you painted the inside to keep it from scratching off when flipped.And it would scratch off from tree limbs.
