The Indian
During the Indian camp there was a woman trying to deliver a baby for 2 days. The husband has been by the Corner all this time because he had an accident when cutting wood with an axe and cut his foot. His wife can’t deliver the baby; they had to call Dr. Adams to help deliver the baby by using a c section. Once the doctor performs the c section, he went to talk to the husband and found he was died. His throat has been cut and there was a razor blade in his hand. Why would the father of a new baby kill himself or was he murder.
Though out the story there are a lot of implied hints on what is going on. The Indian husband could have been depress and couldn’t take it anymore. He could have been trying to kill himself with the axe. If he was trying to kill himself, why would he try and cut his leg. If he was going to kill himself he would have done it some more deadly way, the axe was just an accident.
The Indian husband could have been murder and made it look like he did it himself. Where would the Indian husband get a razor blade from? The main suspect if he was murder was George. He was the only one that left the room. The only problem with that is George doesn’t seem like that kind of person to kill someone even if he had a good reason.
The Indian husband did hill himself because of depression. The axe was an accident but not the razor blade. The husband killed himself because his wife’s baby wasn’t his. His wife cheated on him with George. George has been there the whole time. He was the one trying to comfort her. The husband couldn’t take his wife screaming in pain for 2 days knowing it wasn’t his baby. He couldn’t bear to think the women his love cheated on him and raising the baby. The husband just cut his throat.

The wife cheated with him and had a baby. The Indian husband killed himself because he could take any more pain or problems.
