i have a 12 inch glasspack on mine and its really throaty, and pretty loud. if you want really loud though, get long tubes, then run purple hornies off those, sounds like a muscle car.

Keep the flows. When you get headers, it'll make it louder and more aggressive.

I have Hedman long tube headers into an offroad H-pipe (2.5") with dual 40 series flowmasters, with 3" side exits in front of the rear tires.
I think it sounds great.
I have a video of the exhaust, before the side exits, but im at school so I cant post it right now.
If you care to see it, search youtube for "my F100's exhaust".
Should be a black/silver truck with the camera sitting in the grass, and a kid in flip flops:D

Only thing it will hurt is your ears.
It was daily driven for 6 months(got another truck) with no problems.
Drove it today too. Runs great.

also i hope you got a new o2 censer it is not good to run without one it can cause you to run lean. yea sure you can run it like that for a while but its just not good to have barley any back pressure on a basically stock motor eventually it will catch up to you also you loose power.

You want noise ? Get some headers, then for the mufflers use dynomax race bullets, thats what we have on the Cobra, it will make noise.
throw some true dual straights with cats on it
