Whats wrong with you folks?

I see it building, over the past few weeks, even months. The anger, the meanness, it just keeps growing.

People are ready to blow over a football game, you all are ripping each other apart over a stupid mistake or comment. Someone tries to make a thread about different things and hostility takes over.

I'm not going to preach, or tell you to chill out. I just want you to take a few seconds and think about this.....

On this site alone, we have folks loosing their homes, jobs, bank accounts. We have a little boy laying in a trauma center because he was injured racing, doing something most of us live for and love. There are members here that have recently lost loved ones. We have a huge majority of our membership being heavily affected by the ice storms across the country and some could be without power for weeks.....yet you pick apart the little things. And it isnt just this site, I see it all over.

No need to reply.....just a reality check for you all.

Man I totally agree with where you're comming from Ken .

You guys have to start chilling out for a bit ... especially when it comes to all these petty things.

You know we have a rule that says ... If you don't like what the other guy posts , make believe you do or don't reply.

Life is too short to start making yourself miserable or even worse , allow someone to make you miserable or pissed off over comments that were not meant to start controversy.

So much hate and arguing in one place. I can pick out a few that are contributing to this anger. Most I see that cause trouble are the young ones.

i would have to say i fall under the group your talking about. i apologize. i don't know what it is either i just find myself extremely easy to irritate lately and its just easier to get aggressive the hold it in. i shall some honest effort into putting a clamp on my mouth when i get that way.

I totally agree!! Everyone take a step back, chill, and look how much you got compared to some others! I bet that kids hospital would be wall to wall with cards if these bashers would spend the same amount of time to send their thoughts as they do to go outta their way with the stupid and unnecassary posts! stressfull times cause frustration and agression. i try not to hold any of this against anyone, because none of us have any idea what the others maybe go going through or why a comment might set them off, these things happen. when they do we all have to step back when someone attacks and think, why bother attacking back. to get an argument started takes 2 if anyone attacks you or "flames" on something you said, before you post back more BS, stop, and calmly explain yourself even try a little "lol" in there to ease the convo a bit. if they continue be the bigger man, appologise for offending anyone, and let it be, they'll find it hard to continue with no one fighting back.

nice job:) hard to admit that you are one then it is to flame someone. for that i give you credit.

honestly, this is a therapeutic place to vent all of the frustrations that you refer too...i would rather p.o. a stranger who will forget about a little disagreement than misplace some anger on my family...

as far as the football topic...i was never angry about it...i just want to annoy and anger some steelers fans as much as they annoy me...i hate living in 'steeler country

after reading what i just posted...i need to say that i don't log in looking to rile people up, bu if the opportunity arises...i don't back down as it is easier for me to let any stress go here and then leave it here as opposed to keeping it bottled up....

usually riding is my stress relief but with too much snow, that aint happening...

Yeah I've noticed the hostility here lately. Cabin fever,boredom,economy,prices are the biggest blam to stresses. I am one ove those who lost power for a week and a hlf from the ice storms here in KY. At least I have my job still. Hope everyone else can pull through these hard times and make the best of it.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am real busy, so I don't have near the time to be on here much like I used to, but within the few threads that I have opened, I noticed this too. And like you said, it's not just here. One place that I noticed this a lot lately was at school. It's rediculous how many people get so uptight about the stupidest things, it's kind of crazy..

I've also noticed this and have caught myself in the act, as matter of fact. So, to anyone I've been a complete jerk to, I apologize. Just been letting school and other personal things get to me and I have no excuse taking it out on someone I don't know on a forum.

It isn't me.......just a member of the board having some rough times and some really good Americans helping out........

I too have noticed that a lot of people are really stressed out lately and I don't see it getting better in any short order.....It doesn't help to have the media telling us how bad we've got it with the economic crisis, most people's 401Ks going in the toilet because of the stock market, and a President who keeps telling the citizens of the country that if we don't get on board with his agenda we are gonna suffer immensely....Talk about a downer...

I just thought that after reading the thread it would put some things in perspective and show that we Americans can be and usually are good people.
