Anyone hook up the tether to the YFZ450R? What color wire did you hook it to? and the other to ground?
Did anyone get a plug and play tether from yamaha yet - i checked and my dealer can not get it yet.

one wire to ground the other goes to the orange wire running to the coil. If you plan on getting an aftermarket cdi I would wait because most of them have you ground it out thrue the cdi.

I thought the new 450R is pre-wired for a tether??

The raptor 700 install kit is a joke. It uses a tap-con to splice into the coil wire, you can do better than that with a butt-splice (or solder) and some heat shrink.....

He asked about the plug in kit for the quad didn't he? You can't get one from GYT-R yet, so I gave him a solution that requires no splicing, soldering or heat shrinking. I'm guessing if he wanted to do that he wouldn't want to buy the plug in kit.

You do have to splice with the raptor kit. That is what the Tap-con is for....

You dont actually have to splice into a wire. All you have to do is crimp the kill switch wires into the connectors in the kit.
