So my exhaust isnt leaking at the header it is leaking where the header and midpipe meet and where the midpipe and silencer leak. It is loud and i think geting worse. It is a White Bros R4. Any help is appreciated on how to keep it from leaking.

Go to the hardware store and get some high temp silicone. Take your slip on off and where the head and mid type meet. Silicone the s**t out of it but keep it nice and clean. Do it on both mating surfaces. After that, no leaks.

It's been my experience that when an exhaust is leaking on an ATV you hear it "tweet" when you let off of the throttle.

Is that the case?

(the silicone fix works great btw)

not sure. I will listen for it but i know the exhaust is leaking for sure. It is blowing a little carbon buildup out of the cracks.

I don't think leaks in that area are that big a deal.

They make exhaust putty for cars, that would work fine. JB Weld would probably do just fine too...

jb weld and exhaust putty are bonding agents, you dont want to weld your pipes together, just a simple seal job will do, hi temp silicone, fast cheap and removable so you can still remove your exhaust. just a small amount on each touching surface, slip your pipes in place, then put a nice clean bean around the outer rim and let it harden, (more like rubberize) and it wont leak again unless you remove the pipe. redo everytime you remove your pipe for good seal.

My fault, didn't really pay attention to his whole post, lol. I was thought he meant he had a crack/small hole in the pipe.
