i am going to be buying some flat track tires for drag racing on clay(they hook up the best). so i was wondering what you guys thought was the better tire hoosier or american racer. if you know of a different tire just post it.

Well i raced AR's and Hoosiers for a few years now. Ive always felt like AR's worked better for me. But to each their own. I would recommend AR's tho, or try both and see which one you like better. But I also heard Hoosiers were faster wearing than AR's but I don't know how true that is.

when I raced flatttrack I used and loved the American Racers... They come in 3 different compounds to 23-softest 33-med soft and 40 something as hardest

I mess around with some TT in the summer between mx races and almost all the guys there run american racers, i had a set on my R and i liked them.

American Racers are noticeably lighter too. Some of the Hoosiers can be kind of heavy. I would go with the AR's.
