2 questions.

Like i said i have 2 questions. first off if you remove the oil filter without first removing the oil from the engine will it leak out of where the oil filter is? an my second one is, i have a very small oil leak an it isn't fixable unless i use jb weld or weld it. do you think if i used 10w-50 it will stop the leak? will it hurt the engine? thanx any help is appriciated.

1. I dont think it will leak out...and if it does i will not be much.

2.Where is the leak...what caused it?
10w-50 will not stop it. I run 10w-50 in my 300.

The leak is under the motor by the oil drain plug. there are alot of little cracks it looks like and i have tried many many hours trying to find the leak, an no luck.

Try looking under the motor where the side case cover and the engine case bolt together. There is a spring on the end of maybe the shifter shaft or the reverse shaft that I have seen put a small hole in the case cover.
