The best way i found to do this is to get Mothers alluminum and mag pollish

1. Put pollish on terry cloth, and rub the swinger until a black residue forms

2. Wipe off with a microfiber towel

this also works on getting lube off plastic, also it give the alluminum a nice shine:D

brake cleaner!!! go buy a can of brake cleaner. make sure it is the highly flammable stuff or it won't work. brake cleaner works on getting everything off!! i use it on my frame when it get nasty stains and stuff. beware of what you put it on though sometimes it cleans to good. avoid plastics and your chain!! i just spray it on a cloth and rub away.

Armor All Triple Action Wheel cleaner. Spray, scrub(and don't have to scrub hard) and rinse. Use it on my quads and my bikes. Works great. I would be afraid that brake cleaner might dull the finish on the swinger.

LOL!! I bet it does. Once it melts you won't have to worry about cleaning it any more.

don't get it on in the first place...lube your chain well before you ride...like the night before...not 5 minutes before...and if you do get any over spray onto the swinger, wipe it off immediately...

WD-40 is a lube used to displace water. WD-40 stands for water displacement, trial 40. wich mean it took 40 tries before the combination was right to displace water.

What ever you do don't use Eazy Off oven cleaner.
It wont remove the chain lube and it will etch the hell out of anything made of aluminum.

If you want to destroy your aluminum parts go right ahead.
