If it is an 1986 trx 250r dont waste your time buy yourself a set of a arms from a 1987 and those bushings are removable.

If they're 87 and up arms, then there's a circlip on each side of the heim type bearing. The clips can be a pain to get out. 86 arms have bushings that pushed in. I don't think you'll find anybody to powder those arms. All of the factory lower arms have non-removeable ball joints and they can't be baked. 86 arms have a rubber sleeves on the frame side which can't be put into an oven either.

the 86 has an internal bushing that you can not remove because it can not be replaced. 87 should come apart just as it looks. Bushing, seal, clip and bearing.

well i figured out they are 86 arms, and i alreazdy got them powdered exept the busings melted and strung but the ball joint didint melt it held up alright and still seems to move good....so i think im just going to replace the bushings that melted and i already removed them from the tops and now ill try and have the tops pcd hopefully they come out good wish me luck!

whats the worst that can hapen if that rubber bushing around the sleeve thats pressed in melts a litrlle? it didint on the botoms i dont think it looks ?to me like it held up prettyt good so the tops should do the same

The Pivot Works bushing kit for the 86 replaces EVERYTHING, including the rubber bushing.

I've seen the kit but I've never installed one. I don't think pressing them in would be necessary, just drive them in.

the bushings can be pressed out fairly easy using a press. you can use the pivot works if you like but @ 50.00 plus dollars an arm i voted against it when i rebuilt mine. there are other retailers that provide just as good a quality for less $$$.

I have rebuilt 2 sets of 86 and one 87 with the heim enterprise urethane bushings it comes with bushings and sleeves. They run about $100 shipped.

i opt to have a buddy make me some exact duplicates(designed to use OEM dust caps) from raw brass stock with the exception of the pins. i had those made a bit thicker.
