exhaust baffle??

Well i finally got my yoshimura pipe on and rejeeted. i also got the sparks key in. went riding today will about 6 other guys. i live the extra boost i got. couple of the guys said to take the baffle out of the exhaust. if i did this would i expect better performance? or just a louder sound? also i think i figured out the stock 400ex tires really suck in the snow. i got stuck so many times and could make it up hills the others were. thoughts are much appreciated.

Do they mean the spark arrestor? Yeah I heard it releases some HP when you take it out. Mine a few weeks ago flew out. I was racing and for some reason I looked back and heard a noise as I watched my spark arrestor in pieces fly out. I just hope there wasnt a metal shaving that did that haha, piece of the rings or something or it just became brittle and the revving put too much pressure on it.
