Ok I am going to try to race a little bit of each xc and mx. All the stuff in my sig is what i have, and right now i am mainly going for xc. I also just ordered a set of razr 6ply 21x7x10 tires on .190 douglous's today. But i was wondering should i get front wheel spacers, or should i just leave it stock, and save my money for shocks?

save the money for a whole new front end. a +1 +1 front end does wonders in the woods on a 400, and although its not as wide as most mx bikes, it will be much more stable than stock.

No Bro,you just want +1 wider fornt arms not any +1 forward...

also ditch them 21in frnt tires and get some 22in'ers...and lasty get holeshot XCR rear tires, they work good for both..and def. get some nerfs, and you shoudl be set, also a wider axle will be good

the biggest thing imo is shocks.

you defanitly do not want 22" front tires for mx.depending on your money situation the best thing to do is have one set of tires for xc and another for mx, both tires a very differnt.

[works shocks are really great!! If they are over a year old you will need to get the oil canged and check the seals etc. I just installed a pair of FOX rezzys on mine with 8 click compression adjustment on mine and they work really good!! save your money on wider a arms if you are going to do xc untill you have a bunch of expierience./QUOTE]

thats me too, almost
im keepin the r for mx and the 400 is gonna be for mx/xc. with 2 sets of wheels/tires, set of handgaurds, im just gonna raise the ride height on zps shocks, i think that will be good enough.

So I should just hold off on the axle and a-arms until I get more experienced. And just get the front shocks for now then?
