I want to put i high compression standard bore piston in my 400ex but i want to keep running pump gass. Here in souther arizona it gets pretty hot here in the summer. Although i dont ride when it gets much over 100. How much compression can i run before i start to have problems with detonation. I was thinking a 10.5-1 piston kit with the stock head gasket which would lower it to just over 10-1. Sound good to you guys? And is this enough compression to run a hot cams stage one?
