I have a TC 425 w/a XC cam. While changing out the rings I found that there are 2 sets of OEM head gaskets.
What does this do and what would it hurt if I went down to 1?

sounds like maybe someone decked the cylinder and/or head to much and it needs 2 gaskets to keep from being to close together???
there should be 2 paper gaskets and one steel one. the stel on in the middle of the papers

I talked with TC and the reason he uses 2 head gaskets is to lower the compression to keep the heat down for XC racing.
