i would go with HMF. i've never had a yoshi but my old 400ex had an HMF which never gave me any problems. HMF might be slightly cheaper than the yoshi too.

If he had 500 to blow on a yoshi he should get a curtis sparks. Hands down the best pipe out there.

a few of my friends that had quads back in the day(like a year or 2 ago)had yoshis on there quads.one had a lt440 it was a great pipe for that bike butt not for the others.my other 2 friends had them(1 was a yfz450 and a raptor 660)and the both fell apart. i havent heard anything bad about the HMF's though.plus if you go with the hmf you will have some spare money to buy something esle instead of spending $500+ on the yoshi

I've got a Yoshi on my '05, and it has been a great pipe. After a few years of riding, and a little more knowledge under my belt, for nearly the same dough, I'd probably go with the Curtis Sparks now if I did it all over again. Every shop I've called to request info on engine work has highly recommended the Sparks.

IMO
1)Sparks
2)HMF
3)White Bros

Go with a Yoshi. I have an Full RS3 Carbon Fiber on my '08 400EX and an RS2 on my '08 700xx. IMO they are the best ones out there and the quality is awesome. I've owned 13 different Yoshi system. 3 on ATV's and 10 on sport bikes and they performed perfectly. If you plan on doing engine work go with a full system. If you're just doing simple bolt on's a slip on is plenty. You can find a Yoshi slip on for around $300. IMO far superior to anything HMF has to offer.

I also just found a Pro Circuit Ti-4 Exhaust 4-Stroke full system for $480. great deal off of motoworldracing.com and now its a battle between Yoshi RS-3 and Pro Circuit Ti-4...

No question between those 2. Get the Yoshi.
....and save some dough, install it yourself.
