Heck yeah! good purchase! that truck will last forever man, my buddy had a one with 200+ miles on it and if it ever saw below 3500 each day it wasn't being used lol.. Thing was a tank! :macho

exactly what i was looking for. my buddies dad has a 79 with the same engine, still running with over 200k miles and never touched the engine once.

all it needs is to be registered haha

it runs awesome though, paid 2100 for it:macho

The I6 is a 4.9L the 5.0 is a v8.

Nice truck I like it.The I6 will last forever. Any plans for it?

nothing major yet, i wanna put some kind of bed liner or mat down, and maybe get a tool box for it, then after i save up some money put some 33's on it or something, nothing to drastic though

haha im a chevy guy to heart. but i found myself picking up a I6 4x4 for cheap.. I threw a 6 inch lift on it, exhaust, and little things and all together with truck ive only spent $600

it should run the 33s good with a 3 inch lift and 1inch body lift, so ya dont hit the bumper when gin up stuff, wouldn't put more than 35's on it being its a I6 , good thing you got a FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can't believe you guys have so many problems with your chevy's my dad's got a 99 silverado with the 4.8 v8 in it and he just hit 200k and hes only had to replace normal wear and tear parts on his truck...but i do like the looks of the new fords and the power the dodges make.

Don't worry, they accept 351's (5.8's) very nicely.

you can run any tire size you want, just make sure you regear. You may have some clearence issues that may require the use of a lift and/or body lift for 33's, but I'm not 100% sure.
