Im pretty sure that isn't an 09. If it is then why would you buy the older style. O well concrats.

do some research. 2 reasons, 1. R is too wide for XC, 2. this one is proven.

thanks Ex.

The proven part is correct. However I think the R will be just fine.

As for the R being too wide I wouldn't base decision on that, the first thing I would be doing with the YFZ or R would be putting GT Thunder arms and HLS shocks on the front so width wouldn't be an issue.

Looks good, get er setup now! :D

i know what you mean Dave, i just told my dad a while back i'd rather have the basic then the R. I'm gonna do all the necessities (case saver, bumper, nerfs, sprocket/rotor guards) then ill work on shocks.

Get the Moose case saver and GTT sprocket/rotor guards. As for bumper & nerfs I'd go with REM Performance, Rath or Pro Armor. You also need to get a full skid...

Other then that I would do full HMF, GTT suspension setup (arms, HLS fronts, flag corrected, rear rebuilt with Hi flow piston and linkage), Precison stabilizer, Flexx Bars, and Hipers.

One thing to remember, do it right the first time, buy the good stuff...

im goin with UPP case saver, and the GTT sprocket/rotor guard. nerfs and bumper im going with my sponsor. and i just dont see the point of full skid plates.

ill be getting a stabilizer after the skids. and for suspension again going with my sponsor.

UPP makes the Moose case savers so it's the same thing. ;)

As for the full skid, I hope your joking. You 100% NEED a chassis skid for XC/GNCC type riding. This includes IXCR.

alright cool. i know everyone has them, but how come? i understand swinger skids but not frame. i didnt use one last year, and i didnt have any problems.

Biggest reason to protect the engine, but it helps you glide through the deep ruts and the big thing is rocks. Without the skidplate you could get hung up on big rocks. The skidplate makes the bottom smooth basically so you can "glide" over stuff. Also you don't want the bottom of your frame getting tore up, dented, dinged, etc.

Nope I knew what you meant, it's the same colors just a whole different layout from the rest. It's really about the details when it comes down to it...
