honda 450r chain question

how do i adjust my 450r chain and what tools do i have to use. With my 400ex we had to bang it with a hammer for it to lossen or tighten. Please let me know.

loosen up the four bolts on the swing arm, use the allen wrench and put it in the hole on the bearing carrier and turn it till the chain moves up and down a lil over an inch, it says on the plastic, then tighten up the allen bolts on the swinger
