Found a dodge cummins its a 00 with 132k on it for 9500 dollars, looks to be in mint shape with a sound system in it no rust whatsoever, do you think 9500 is too much for it becasue i know that the dodges in that year have terrible trannys

Its a good deal if its clean. Stock autos in those trucks suck, they just dont hold any amount of power. If its stock and the tranny is stock, its probably OK, but they just dont hold up to a lot of power, which is why most cummins owners opt for the stick shift.

an 00 wiht 132k for htat much is a steal..., my budy bought a 00 wiht a 150k and it was mint for 11500, so i say its pretty good....that engine alone will run forever, plus you can pick up a five speed trans for a decent price...

Good deal but I think you could find better. The standard cab drops the price of trucks by ALOT. I bought a 99 2500 4x4 with 195k extended cab fully loaded for about $9500.

132k isnt much though. Im pushin 300k with nothin wrong. I should get half million no problem.

a 60lb boost gauge would scare me, unless the guy just didn't know what he was doing.... why on earth he would need a 60lb boost gauge is beyond me unless it was heavily modified or he just got the gauge cheap or something!?

The other gauge is fuel pressure... not sure why he'd need that either, but its just a gauge, doesn't really mean anything.

Usually a truck that has had some sort of a tuner on it you would want boost, pyro, and tranny temps. Usually you'd see a pyro instead of a fuel pressure gauge, but who knows.

I'd ask why it has a 60lb boost gauge on it though.

Is it modded at all?

Cummins are easy to get big HP numbers out of, but it seems the next weak point is the tranny....

I would guess the fuel pressure gauge was so he could make sure he wasn't having low pressure and running lean.

probably had the 60lb because they are the most common/ cheapest you come across.

The fuel guage is so he knows if the lift pump is on its way out. A new lift pump costs about $200 stock $500-$600 for a good aftermarekt. They always go on these trucks. IF the lift pump dies your vp44 (injection pump) wont have any pressure and will wear out causing failure. between $1200-$2500 depending on which one you buy. Always Always put a fuel pressure guage on a vp44 cummins.

probably because the most common are 30 and 60...and most diesel trucks will tap out a 30 with not to many mods, so why even put it in?

I had to replace my 30 psi gauge with a 60 on my 95' psd because it was pushing 35 with only injectors, turbo, chip, intake, exhaust and supporting mods, a cummins will do it a whole lot easier than a 7.3 too.

I boost about 29psi stock, not consistently but it will spike to 29psi. This is in my 6.0 powerstroke

thats a ridiculose PRICE! we had same year and the transmission went out in the parking lot[ they fixed it for frree dad wrecked it a year later tore his shoulder up b/c airbags didnt deploy] no joke dude kelly blue book says $5,870.00

The price seems decent to me. I paid around 12k for my extended cab with 130k on it. That seems to be the going rate for them around here though. If its a clean truck i would go for it

Back in april that was the going rate. Now you can find them way cheaper, but 9k for a 4x4 with no dodge rot is a good deal
