I'm looking to get a high comp piston for my quad. Lookin to prob go 12.5:1 or so. Not to fond on buying the race gas. But i can if needed. If i bumped up to 13.5 or 14:1 How much power diff would i be able to tell. I know they'd make more power but would it be worth the giving up the Durability and Cheap gas price of the 12.5:1. And would the 12.5:1 make that much of a difference over stock. i already have Ported head bigger valvetrain, HRC cam, Rev box, And a Dasa. Thanks. Would it be worth the money and time to even Bump up the compression or leave it stock and super reliable??? Thanks For any suggestions and help

if your alright with race gas, go as high as you can. but pump fuel, 12.5:1 is nice. youll feel a difference. youll be happy. look into drg pistons, they are very good.

if youd go 12:5:1 id go cp and any higher than that you wana run ras gas and if your already going over id go all the way like pro-rider46 said and id go with drg also he makes 15:1 and then you could mill the head down 0.040 and get 17:1 and still have plenty valve clearance

How would the reliability be with A 15:1 or even a 17:1. I dont want to be riding a time Bomb:D

So you'd Recommend to go the The 12.5:1 CP over a Extreme high Comp one. How did your friends pull on yours? or was it that noticable?

15:1's have been reliable as far as i know,

according to chad at drg once you get to about 17:1 you start losing hp cause of its theral effeciancy. and 16 is good, if you do go with a 12.5:1 or higher, go DRG, his pistons are superior to any shelf piston, plus he's a super guy to deal with!

if you don't mind buying race gas, go 14:1. I had a 13.5:1 JE and the only reason I replaced it was because my crank bearings went out and I wanted to go back to pump gas. ran for 2 years though, no piston problems. did see 2 hairline cracks when I pulled the piston. now Im running a CP (supposedly same company as JE??) 11.5:1 with a +3mm stroker so im about 12.1:1

Thanks Chad, I was just about to Pm you and ask your opinion. I kinda steered away form the big bore stuff i asked you about... For now anyway =) How much do your pistons Run? price wise. And what would you suggest as far as compression? Could i go a little higher than 12.5:1 and Maybe Mix race and Pump gas??? or is that a bad idea. I'm just want more power but to remain reliable and Preferably not spend alot on buyin race gas.

my 12.5:1 piston is literally better than most 14:1 pistons on the market- performance and feature wise.....

I would stick if 12.5:1 if your a pump gasser.....

if you can run full race fuel, go with my 14 or 15:1 piston setup...

as far as prices, feel free to give me a call...

I'm not suppose to make sales here... I hope you understand what I'm saying ;) .... Since questions are being directed to me, and since my product is in question, I hope to answer anything technical you may have, but prices will have to be off-forum.... give me a shout if your serious I can help.

Thanks to everyone! Brandon- your awesome!
