hi, i was digging around looking for an air scoop pattern for someone and came across these pics of gusset points. i am def. going to do this when i repaint my frame. you might want to copy and save these for a rainy day........

NO!!! thats not my bike, but i got the pick off here. the pics are labeled "the badlands" i was just making a point. im going to make some gussets and weld them in when i repaint my frame. the red frame with the highlighted areas is from the bare gusset kit that they sell on ebay. i came across it on my old computer and just wanted to get the info out.

I plan on redoing my frame soon to. It's been through hell and is starting to rust everywhere. Gussets are something i really need to do.
How much does the gusset kit cost for the 400ex?

i think about $60 plus shipping. im going to make my own, the hard part is knowing where to put them.

Thats cool, I plan on getting my frame powder coated - either flat black or glossy black.

So lets say you decided to make 2 set of gussets, how much would you sell a set for?

im not sure, im just mostly doing the 4 up front by the shock tower since that is a known bad spot like in the blue pic. they seem pretty easy to make just being a triangle shape and a little grinding to make them fit. but before i weld them in i will trace them out and post it on here. actually it will be very easy to make a template out of cardboard first and post them up.

I've been wanting to do this myself too, $60 for a gusset kit - I don't feel like shelling out that much for something this simple. All thats been keeping me from doing it is knowing the mounting points, Thanks a lot for the pic, I'm sure this will help a lot of the people on here.
