ok im tryin to trade my 2000 trx400ex and 2007 crf230f in for a yfz 450.the trx 400 has .50 piston work 300 dallor pipe jet kit new tires ,new nerf bars ,after market plastics and stock plastics and many other parts.there only offerin my 900 for it. i spent more in the parts and only 1000 for the crf idk if im gettin ripped off or not

If you're talking trading it in to a dealer - keep in mind that they are looking to make money off of it too.

So yeah you always get screwed on your trade at a dealer. (assuming you don't have the time nor do you want to haggle with people)

When I was considering trading in my 2008 400EX for a 2008 700xx the dealer was only going to give me $2800!! It was less than 6 months old at the time with all the mods in my sig. He p!ssed me off so bad with that offer. I paid cash at another dealer and brought it up there for the 1st service and told him he gave a way a sale. They only want to make money on it and think most people won't go through the trouble to try and sell it outright. But with the economy like it is I would think they would do everything possible to make/keep a possible sale.

i got a straight up trade, a 2002 400ex with many parts, just needed a timing chain for my custom painted 2000 250 trailblazer.

Wait and sell it on craigslist and buy off craigslist.

I originally was gonna find a mint 400ex for about 2500 max spending limit. I waited and watched this guy try to sell his for a good month, nabbed it for 1800.

It has race cut fronts, almost new tires, nerf bars a bit beat up and a +1 or +2 axle or the rear rims have less backspace (cant figure it out since the rears are different rims).
