rebuilding my quad

any suggestions on a color scheme with silver plastics...I want to powder coat my frame,sub-frame,a-arms and swing arm so they look new again.

I like seeing blue frames with silver plastics...but that's just me.

scuzz i was thinking the same thing but I'm having a hard time finding graphics that would look good with a blue frame...do you have any suggestions where to find some?

it's funny that you found those...i actually have those on my old plastics and i don't want the same ones...but thanks for looking her's a pic of before I started tearing my quad apart...I'm on the red quad in blue gear

so now I'm thinking since I can't find any graphics for a Honda to go with a blue frame maybe I will do the frame blue anyways and just do no graphics but I'm not sure I will like the look. My brother also suggested I do a red frame..any other ideas anybody? Any suggestions would be great :)

i think a purple frame and plain silver plastics would look awseome. thats what im going to do to my quad if i ever get enough money.

I know!!! It's an expensive hobby...but if you're gonna do it, do it right!! I've had my quad for a couple years and beat the s*** out of it, time to rebuild. I bored it out .40 over and got a stage 2 hotcam. The motor is all done waiting for me to decide on colors and waiting for my bearings to come in. I'll keep purple in mind but I'm still not sure about plain plastics. It had no graphics on it when I bought it and I didn't like the look but that was with red plastics so who knows.

thanks for the reply...I did get a new HMF exhaust thats black so that probably would look good...maybe frame and sub-frame red and the a-arms black with the black exhaust?

Do a transulent color. Blue and red always look good translucent. If your going with silver plastics do a more original color like green or orange. then paint the a-arms and swinger black. Thats just my opinion though. Happy Rebuilding.

I got 450r shocks with 5 hours on them and brand new +2 burgard A-arms, I can't wait to ride!!!!!

you cant really see cause the sun's glaring so bad in that last pic but I powder coated the oil reservoir black also, and those are maeir plastics, got the whole kit on ebay for $300, WOOO HOOO

it kinda does, well my engine is diff and my hubs are blue. I'm getting new nerfs too...I'm thinking black bars with red nets, you think that will look alright?

I think it will go with the shocks, and if you end up getting a graphics kit you can get something with red accents in it, I think that would look really good.

By the way it looks awesome! i wish my engine was pc'd

I just purchased a magura hydraulic clutch and the instructions are horrible, does anyone have any info on how to install one?

I just read the way I asked my last question and it didn't make any sense so let me rephrase...I got a one button start switch instead of the start switch with all the lights and kill switch on it because I don't have lights anymore so I was wondering if anyone new what wires I need to splice it with in the wiring harness to bypass the stock on/off switch
