There seems to be smoke coming from around the spark plug, or somewhere in that area.. Maybe blown head gasket?? anyone have any clue?

hmmm. What color smoke. Are you sure its not water sitting around the plug? Get an air compressor and blow aroudn the spark plug hole and then take the plug out and put a new one in there. Then see what happens.

if it is really thick smoke, then most likely. blue smoke is really really bad, but you don't have that.:). good luck.

smoke of any color should not be coming out near the spark plug. even if the rings are shot, or valve guide seal leaks, blue smoke should come out of the exhaust, and white smoke out the exhaust could be blown headgasket if it was watercooled, since its aircooled nothing strange should be getting into the cylinder to make smoke. exhaust might be leaking at the head. is the plug tight?
