Hey Guys,
my name is David (Dave) and I'm from south germany (Lake of Konstanz). I'm sorry for my very bad english, i hope you can understand what i mean, lol.

I got a '88 TRX at December, R's are very rare here in Germany. At the moment I rebuild it, that i can begin riding MX. Today i brought the frame away to let it sandblasting and powdercoat.

Before i begun it looks so...

only the Frame...

I'll get a new axle, a RPM i think (costs in Gemany 600€ ~ 790 $) so i want to get it in usa.

Also i'll need new A-Arms, but i don't know which ones.
The only ones i found in germany are the ricky stators, also for 600 €... to much for arms like them. So i looked for other ones and found which from atvracing.com
+2 +1,75 full adjustable, somone know them ? Good? bad?

http://atvracing1.com/a-arms.htm

you commend other ones ?
Long Travel would be nice... but at the moment to expensive for me, other then used ones.

Thanks for reply

:)

I've never tried those arms. But I can tell you that companies been in the buisness forever. So their customer service is probably prett good. Have you checked with BURGARD,FULLFLIGHTRACING,AMERICANSTARRACING,etc... There are alot on E-bay right now but you might have a hard time getting them to ship overseas to Germany. You'll have to ask the seller directly. Hope you find what your looking for and good luck with your build! Thanx.

Upon further examination of your pics. it looks like you already have aftermarket a-arms on that quad. Whats the width? What is your reason for wanting new a-arms? Also, what brand of shocks are those on that bike?

The arms are broadened by selfmade from the previous owner. He wasn't a professional welder what the weldseems look like. I wont't intrust my life into them ;) .

The rear shock is an Öhlins.
I dont know the frontshocks, stickers are from Reiger, huilco is written on the shocks...

I forgot... it's Streetlegal... there are not many in Germany...

Glad you found something!! A friend of mine has the full flight arms and hes very happy with them. Took him a little while to get set up properly but he has them dialed in. The fit and finish seems pretty nice also. Also have life time warranty!!

If you want to save some money and trouble and keep the frame with the original decals (if originality means anything to you), a lot of frames can be cleaned and waxed and made to look new in the areas where outright scratches aren't present. Where the boots rub is where you typically have to add some touch up paint but usually the rest of the frame can be cleaned up really well with what you already have. I personally don't like the original primer blasted off the frame. You rely on the coater to get all the bare spots clean of media and coated. That's just me though. Soap and wax are easy and very cheap and can give surprisingly new finish results.

A new Powdercoating isn't expensive for me, I've good Connections ;) . My Problem are Aftermarket Parts, because there are very very expensive here in germany.

like an RPM Dominator Axle costs in Germany 600€ (790$)
or A-Arms from Ricky Stator cost also 600€ in Germany, better ones 900 or 1000 €

It's also cheaper to get that things from America ;)

ATVs also expensive here... a Yfz 450 costs without streetlegal 8.500€ (11.180$) with Streetlegal ~9.200 - 9.500 € (12.110$ - 12.500$) :(

Welcome to the board!!

We have another member from Belgium who may be able to help you out with aftermarket parts if he checks into your thread...

Check into Laeger's Racing (http://www.laegerracing.com/storefront/cart/index.php/), Lonestar Racing (www.lsracing.com), ROLL Design (http://www.rolldesign.com/) for more well known brands that make quality a-arms.

Hello Dave,

Nice to see another european TRX owner :)
I'm from Belgium. I know a guy who had a set of nice used laegers +2" Arm's for sale quite cheap. I don't know if he still has them, but I'm going to try and contact him if you want.

Shipping from Belgium to Germany in't expensive, so it might turn out well for you.

Regards,
Jan

Welcome to the board!

I'd add Walsh to the list for top quality aarms.

Click here Walsh 250R (http://www.walshracecraft.com/#/trx250r/4531756461)

Good Luck.

I'd also try ebay. I bought some brand new Burgards +2 for 175$. You'd just have to be patient though.

I think you guys are missing his point. Quad parts are super expensive in Germany!! Thats why some recommended the lower budget a-arms. I cant imagine what the high end units would cost over there.

I've got a bunch of parts I could sell you including Long travel custom axis shocks, A-arms axle and maybe something else.

I'd be willing to ship to Germany and it'd only cost around $1000 Euro + shipping.
