need help! have honda 300ex

Have a honda 300ex and I was wondering if there was a converson kit for the key because there is the plastic peace on the handle bars and I want to get a difftent set of handle bars because I hate the stock look of those handle bars so I was wondering whatt can I do to put diffrent handle nbars with still having the key to and do I cut any wires?

on my 300, i cut down the plastic to a point where it still had the key whole and just zip tied it to my bars
