250x vs 300ex

Recently purchased a 250x, and would like to install an electric starter for my wife. Anyone know if a 300ex starter will fit?

im almost positive it wont work unless you do huge work...like taking out parts of your engine and stuff

just trade her, you take the 250 and let her have the 300 inless it has mods or there is some reason you dont want her to ride it cause the two are practically the same

there's a company called goki I don't know where or how much but I hear they make good conversions for older machines

it can be done but when you do it it will be 300ex not a 250x anymore. you'll have to put in a 300 crank and rod, left side case cover, stater motor, the handle bar switch, a battery w/ holder and you'll have to get a 300 stator so you have the re-charging wires for the batery. just leave it be. if you want a 300 then buy one but the 250x's are getting harder and harder to find. id keep it the way it is. it aint that hard to kick anyways. just my 2 cents
