Has anyone put GEN1 plastics on a Gen2 400ex? I have a GEN2 (2005) and I have moved my reverse knob to a hot start lever. I had tried my keys in the right fender but they scratched up my previous plastics. I now have an empty hole.

is that what jason just asked?

He asked if it will fit? There is a distinction and doing it custom versus a bolt-on. Please post pics if you have GEN1 plastics/lights on a GEN2 400ex.

theres nothing you have to mod, i could show you a pic of my 02 with the old plastics on it, and it would look the same as a 05 with gen 1 plastics...

you could put the reverse switch in the same spot if you wanted to, just drill a hole and put in in.....

Jason take a look at this post from a few nights ago.
Reverse Location (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=379910)
There are some links that can be followed that show different ways to relocate the reverse function on the 400. I have my reverse relocated to the hot start position of my hydraulic clutch assembly. It makes the quad much easier to maneuver especially when cold and you are working on getting her warmed up.
