my only advice is dont be stupid(considering im not to huge on drag racing). dont sacrifice your motor just to earn bragging rights. trust me its not worth it.

i say go up 1 tooth on your front sprocket if your drag racing down a long straight and u should take him on the top end u would go from 68mph to 73mph but it will take a little longer to get there

All these "Who will win" threads.

People can throw around their opinions all they want. The only person who could find out is you. Just race him and get it over with. lol.

You can always pull the spark plug boot off his plug but not all the way so it looks like it's still on. Wouldn't be able to get it started. Then you can pull out a sassy remark like "Should have bought a Honda"

Or you can over-inflate his tires so it doesn't hook up.

From my experience ex's just don't have the top end power of the 450's. You may be able to keep up in a couple gears but the 450's keep pulling hard through all gears.

For one thing, you do not want to "max the gears out" before you shift. The engine makes its max power in a specefic RPM range, and once it is past that point, it is no longer pulling hard. Therefore you want to shift once you feel that it is no longer pulling to get the best accelleration possible. For instance running it to the rev limiter in 3rd may possibly be past the "pulling power" in 4th gear.
