Is this a good air filter, is it good for sand riding, also dose it just slip on or do you have to use the stock filter parts with it?

for sand.....foam is better i heard...i run a twin air and it came with everything needed...i would believe this one will as well...should mount right up to your snorkel fitting.

so it would come with a hose clamp and every thing and just attach to the rubber hose?

Yes, it is a direct replacement for the stock filter. Attaches the same way.

Be sure you oil it before installing it.

It will come with the new clamp to match up with the stock snorkel. I believe that flew by is incorrect in his staement...K&N would let sand through so i have heard on here numerous times, while foam protects against fine particles getting in. Another suggestion i have heard is if riding all day in sand then bring 2 filters and change out after about half a day of riding. Anyone want to correct me, please feel free.

dose that mean i need the stock parts, i had a k&n but lost it so now its just the tube, will it attatch to that or do i need other parts?

I would have to say no....as long as you have the stock snorkel...what the filter will come with is part #22 and the filter. You should slip it on and screw the clamp dwn and you should be good to go......just like the other guy said before me...order the spray also...the filter does not come sprayed with filter spray.

if u get this filter, make sure you clean and oil it every 2 hours of ride time. I run UNIs on my 450r and i didnt clean it for a while and the carb got so dirty to the point where the slide wouldnt move. But i really like these filters

i ride sand all the time and i have a uni filter. you can get a outerwares cover or i've heard others just using panty hose to cover their filter.
