Weird Noise

Once my bike in my sig gets warm lets say maybe an hour after riding. I get this clanking noise in high rpms. sounds like a valve loose but they are not. they are within spec. i am to my wits end with this thing and i am a mechanic. the motor has maybe 10 hours top since rebuilt. its definately in the top of the motor. when at low rpms it doesn't make this noise though.

Since it's high rpm's it may be your oil pump crapping out or the oil screen clogged and starving the top end for oil.

it makes me wander to if maybe it could be over heating. could that be an issue?

doesnt the hot cam make more noice than the stock cam becasue the decompression mechanism is gone?

it sure does. but my problem is not the noise at startup. but what its doing once it has an hour od ridetime. it starts clanking at higher rpms.

I still think it's an oil control problem.

yea i am thinking oil isn't getting moved as fast to and maybe its overheating the top maybe? i am going to take the valve cover off tuesday when i am off of college and look at it. anything to look at like rockers. movement in them or anything? i am wandering if a rocker has gotten loose or something
