Gears 2 or Call of Duty 5

So what 1st person shooter do you guys prefer?

me either. My son just got gears 2 but i'm not sure if i care for it. There are some aspects that i do like but from playing cod 4 i think cod 5 might be the better game. i threw in bad company since that isn't too old.

COD5 is AWESOME imo. i love it. i like it much better than gears 2. i didnt really care for gears2

depends on why your buying it, if your looking for online play then stick with cod4 because the online in cod5 just doesn't have it but the story mode is amazing. and as for gears 2..... just save your money......

well cross gears off for first person..... its more of a 3rd person :o


the online on gears its terrible. Takes foreve to connect...but the game play is good.

COD WAW is good too. If you dont have COD 4 get that if you like modern day fighting or WAW if you are more into WWII. The only differences between the two are the missions and the guns. Other than that, the game play is identical. My girlfriend just got me 007 Quantum of Solace and its really really good. I have it for wii and its amazing, couldnt imagine it on a next gen system.

gears isnt all that fun, and Cod 5 is just okay to me. Its graphics and stuff are just like 4 and i was expecting something better. But id get cod 5 over gears any day

COD 5 is awesome


most people do'nt know about the online cooperative mode thats really cool. You can do the missions with your friends with a split screen or you can play online. Its badass!

neither, cod4 is still the best imo. but modern warfare 2 is gunna blow them all apart.

I have both COD World at War and Gears of War 2 and I have to say that COD is much better. I first played Gears then COD but when I go back to Gears there's no comparison.

Def recommend COD..I haven't tried COD 4 but heard its the best..So you may want to look into that

call of duty world at war hands down..

to me, gears of war 2 is the worst game i have ever played. online sucks for sure anyways.

IMHO COD5 sucks. If you don't have COD4, I would get it before 5. Five is just a total copy of 4 just with a WW2 setting. Plus the fact that there are TONS of bugs that need to be worked out of the online play. Almost every map has a glitch to where you can get under the map and people shoot you from underground.
