ok now dont bash me to bad, i want to lower my quad, for better handling, on mx and general trail riding, nothing serious. i cant afford new shocks or rebuilds yet (im saving) is it ok to run lowering kit and still hit small to medium sized jumps. is it only not recommended because of bottoming out. Just need some opinions thanks....

all the lowering kits that i have seen are not designed for mx, when you put a lowering kit on your quad, you change the leverage ratio of the shock, and the shock will not bottom on the bumper before the frame hits the ground. if the frame hits the ground it could stop and you could fly off like a lawn dart.

sorry for the funny, i couldn't resist it!

please don't run a lowering kit on a mx track, it was made to use on a flat track!

its not that expensive to rebuild your shocks, and that will lower your ride height with out bottoming out your frame.
