Suicide....I put the pipe on in 10 degree weather and fired it up...wow...sound was good and definitely happy so far...im debating on jetting it yet because i havent been able to ride it for longer than 20 minutes but happy with it so far....

Yeah i'd go ahead and rejet and throw on a air filter if you havent already. I got a K&N on mine and it makes a whistling sound when I hit the throttle. I love the sound of the T4 pipe. It sounds mean but its clean sounding. Not like some pipes just sound like they got no baffles. :rolleyes:

Was'nt backfiring at all....thats why i need to wait until the weather gets better to get a good read on what its doing...I have a Twin Air as well as a K&N ready to put on it....So thats the debate i have on jetting it....I sounds great so far.....i know the neighbors wont like it but they are deaf anyway....

In june, when I "fall" into some more money, im getting a full FMF exhaust, K&N Powerlid and Air filter, and getting the bike re-jetted to match the air/exhaust upgrades.

I was thinking about the blingstars... I really like the way the pegs are on the DC Racer Nerf Bar but wish they had that type of peg on a setup with the heel guarg all in one. Why are the ones with a heel guard have smaller pegs? I also think its odd that the DC Racer nerf bars are cheaper on the BlingStar website (http://www.blingstar.com/default.asp) than anywhere else???? by FAR!

I've got them installed, and they look GREAT sitting on the quad, .... there in the GARAGE!

I haven't gotten out to the desert to give 'em a workout yet, but I did lay about six or seven 4x4's down in the driveway, and hit them at about 20 mph.

So then, being the perpetual cynic that I am,...
I put one of the 400EX stockers on one side ,and the triple rate 450r on the other, and hit the boards again.

No,... I didn't think so ! Dang near put me into the fence between mine and my neihbors house.

I WISH I would have tried that test with the triple rates mounted on only one of the 450r's, and the stock 450 spring on the other,...
but i didn't think of it till after I had both sets installed.

I may be going out for a day ride next week, with my buddy who rides a 450r. (and he has the stock shocks on his bike).
It'll be fun to compare them going through the whoops.

If I spank him badly, I'll be sure to let you know LOL!!!

(but this weekend, i've gotta go get some pink handgrips !!!):D

And I bought a 250ex to go with the 400.

Just wanted to tell you thanks for what you do...I am sure you dont hear it enough...it is appreciated. You will eventually buy just about everything for the toy.....I have to admit its addiciting but eventually it tapers off a bit.

I changed out the main jet today to a 245, and bumped up the E-85 content to 80%.

Hopefully I'll get to test it out tomorrow. I don't intend on going past 80% E-85. My only concern at this point is the needle, it's at the bottom notch and no alcohol needle is available for this carb. If the 80% proves to be too lean for mid range, I'll go back to the 70% E-85 240 combo.



Edit: Fuel consumption is also becoming an issue. With the 240 installed, it runs great, but a tank of gas doesn't last very long.

E-85 is still 1.60/gal here.:D :macho

Been having a bit of an A.A.D.S. attack on one of my trailers for hauling the quads.
a little necessity, a little imagination, a little ingenuity,...
fire up the welder, toss in a few parts laying around the garage,...

and I can now get all 3 quads,...
standing on their tails, (by myself)
into a 5' wide x 11' long, utility trailer,

with plenty of room for fuel cans, gearbags, tools, ice chests, BBQ, EZ-Up, table and chairs, and some firewood.

It will make for a nice day ride/overnighter hauler,
that I can tow with the Suburban,
when I dont feel like taking the full Dually/camper rig.

Still need to fabricate the saftey bars/dividers, for keeping the quads from hitting each other in the event of a panic stop, and will try to get some pics up in a couple of days.

My 18" Kenda Klaw MXR's came today. Already had some used 8" rims I picked up in the fall. Won an Ebay auction for some Houser +2" Std. travel A-arms acouple days ago. Can't wait for them to get here. My MX build can finally begin. Only downside is now I'm otta money and will have to wait for awhile before I can get an extended axle.
