carb problem

I installed a tokyo mods lightened spring. In order to install the lightened spring you need to remove what I have been told is the ramp rod. Its the piece that the spring wraps around and what you attach your throttle cable to. Where the rod goes through the linkage that moves the slider up and down, there are two washers that go over this ramp rod on either side of the linkage arm. I am missing one of those washers. Is it ok to use my carb without one of these washers? If anyone has pics please post so my descripion wont be as confusing.

If i understand correctly what you are saying, you need those washers. They stop side to side movement of the shaft. Excessive movement could cause premature wear and failure.
