Oil Change

Whats the best way to change the oil in the ds? iv got unlimited oil changes threw my dealer for as long asi own the bike but id rather do it my self lol

Just do it the way they tell you in the owners manual. Also use the brp 5w40 oil. Make sure you tremove the oil screan every oil change and clean it out with brake cleaner then blow it out with compressed air. It collects alot of the clutch particles.

Then when you change the oil filter make sure you remove the metal spacer off the old oil filter and install it on your new filter. If you dont do this it will caus a drop in oil pressure because the filter will not be sealed properly to the motor.

the one thing my dealer doesnt carry, BRP oil they even said its junk, what would be the best oil for a dune rider?

Make sure you use 5w40 oil. AMS Oil or Spectro is are good oils to use

DO NOT USE ROYAL PURPLE EVER IN YOUR ATV MOPTOR or even in your car motor. Royal purple is made from to much polymer. Polyner us to elestacy and does not do well when it is being loaded up or down like in a connecting rod bearing. All other royal purple products are ok to use like transmission fluid, gear fluid, ect


I am only using brp oil. I do not want any problems with my warranty. It may not be the best oil but it is what the manufacture recomends.
