acc pump?

I had my fcr carb off today checking the acc pump and noticed it wasnt spraying fuel out at all. would this cause poor running: backfiring/hard starting?

is there any way to fix it other than buy another one?

i would like to think there is,you could have a bad pump DIAPHRAGM ,the leak jet may of come out,the linkage may of come apart. or it could just be dirt.
