very nice pics. I hope one day my pics will be as good as yours. I been taking pics like crazy with my new d80 trying to figure it all out. Its so addicting im driving my fiance crazy taking so many pictures.lol

I cant say it enough...read all you can, practice practice practice. Thats what these shots are from today, 60 minutes sitting in the snow practicing!

Pappy ever time I see your pics they make me sick(no they dont suck) but what I am saying is your pics are incredibly detailed its almost like I am there. I wish I could take pics like that. Great pics I love them.

Pappy,

Do you use a filter for most of your pics to cut out glare? I have a D80 and you would think I would luck into a nice pic say every 1,000 snaps or so. I am thinking you are doing something way different than me. I don't have any type of filters at this time and figure that would have to help some.

I am taking some basic classes starting in March. Hopefully that helps. :o

I use clear neutral filters to protect the lens jon.

No owls..yet. Like everything I would like to have my portfolio filled with all types of things but they have to be available to photograph:p Sunday I will be at one of the east coasts largest wildlife refuges so we will see what I can get there.

i say start submitting them to magazines/journals.... could make some money from it. I like the ones with the duck coming back up from underwater.
